I hate planning. I hate small details.
I much prefer envisioning the big picture.
In an attempt to make mornings easier this week, I planned ahead with some meal prep. Past experience shows when I have the discipline to do this, my mornings run much more smoothly; I can roll out of bed, grab my containers, ziplocs, and head out the door.
With this cold weather and feeling under the weather, getting out of bed has been a real struggle. So this week, I am taking some steps to help my mornings run more smoothly.
I portioned out my meals and snacks so that packing my food each morning will be easier and faster.
I also cleaned my fridge so I could see everything in it more easily as I tend to forget about food that is out of sight.
I am also going to make an effort to exercise more this week. More on this tomorrow, but I will say: I spoke to someone this week who said, “It’s mere physics. A body in motion stays in motion. A body at rest stays at rest.” So, in another effort to not stay in bed and rest, I will work out 3x this week to help get my blood flowing and my heart pumping.
