Every one has pain

Every one has pain and mine makes me want to stop this challenge.

Day 82 of 365 challenge to create content every day.

In thinking about my pain and that of others, I am reminded how resilient people are.

I was talking to someone today who told me that one of their friends who has been battling cancer for 8 years just found out she has 2-3 months to live.

It is said that our own pain is the worst. I am not sure if that is true, as it is hard to measure our own pain and that of others and it is even harder to compare our own pain with that of others.

It is also said that pain makes us stronger- that I believe to be true.

I also find hope, inspiration, and motivation in hearing the pain others have endured and come out the other side of. Here are some examples I have come across from real people in my life:

  • Having your apartment burn down and having to replace all of your belongings
  • Living with chronic physical pain and ailments
  • Surviving multiple heart aches
  • Divorcing your lifelong love
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • The flu
  • Meninigitis
  • Lack of motivation
  • Sadness

  1. While I agree with most of the points you mentioned, some I don’t. Like some of the things on the list, Do they really come under pain? or suffering? While pain is natural, I believe suffering is personal and depends on the state of each individuals mind. Just a thought to ponder over 🙂 Temporary setbacks are common for any person and I wish you continue your 365challenge irrespective of today’s problems. Good luck!

    1. Thanks for your feedback. The way I am using the word “pain” here is just to describe anything that comes under the umbrella of feeling unpleasant, whether that thing is natural or self-induced or neither. I also wrote this as I was falling asleep one night, and thus, feel it is not my greatest work.

  2. Sorry to bother you, It would be of great help if you could delete my comment on FEBRUARY 20, 2018 AT 10:38 AM above and this comment as well, thank you. Wish you the best
